Ironhand Grip-Assist Glove
Woman wearing Ironhand Grip-Assist Gloves and holding a tool in her right hand

Created for people in work environments, the five-fingered Ironhand Grip-Assist Glove is designed to intuitively enhance the hand's grasping force, reducing fatigue and strain-related injury. The Ironhand system includes the glove, a body-worn powerpack, a Smart-Assist, and IronConnect app. Pressure sensors in the glove are designed to activate controls in the powerpack that pull artificial tendons to create a strong, natural grasping motion; each finger is actuated independently to provide force comparable to the human one. The Smart Assist adapts the glove's behavior (i.e., configuration, force, balance, sensitivity, locking, etc.), and the app allows the user to make those behavioral adjustments.

Estimated Cost Cost range: $8,800
