Skelex 360 Shoulder Exoskeleton
A man milking cows while wearing a Skelex 360 Shoulder Exoskeleton. In the lower left of that pic is a smaller pic of the same exoskeleton against a white background.

The non-powered Skelex 360 Shoulder Exoskeleton is designed to take the strain off both the shoulders and arms of one who does overhead or mid-range (from the waist up) work. It accomplishes this by: (1) supporting the shoulders using flex metal frames, (2) supporting the arms via arm cuff height and positioning adjustment, and (3) transferring shoulder/arm muscle activity to the lower body, which is less burdened during upper-body work. According to the manufacturer, the device is lightweight, its material is breathable, and its contact with the body is minimal, thus providing good heat dissemination and comfort.

Estimated Cost Cost range: $3,450

Limitations Limitations Addressed by Product: Upper extremity, Strength/endurance
